Okay y'all hear me out on this next one. You know what would slay at the Superbowl?
I think it'd be awesome if she did like 4-6 of her megahits and didn't really actually
perform any album track in their original form, but instead interpolated them among the hits so that they all bind together in a more cohesive sound. So the 'Joanne' songs popped up in little breakdowns of songs, or in transitions, or mashed up, or in other little places - ya feel? Little moments that could be included are;
- "Youuuung, wiiiild american - come on baby, do you have a girlfriend?" from
Diamond Heart
- "Heeey, yo! A-YO! A-YO!" and the freestyle moments from
A-YO
- "Blue collar and a red state treasure" verse and the chorus instrumental hook from
John Wayne
- "Where are you? Cus I can't see..but I feel you watching me" bridge if she's doing
Perfect Illusion
- "They all tell you that freedom must be bought, but he's already got 'em" bridge from
Come To Mama
- Pre-chorus and chorus of
'Angel Down' as a eulogy to shooting victims of the last couple years before she sends them off with a stadium-rocking performance of The Edge of Glory
(!!!) (I already just
know it's gotta finish Ü&I-Angel-TEOG)
This probably sounds crazy (and I realise that is a type this), but woo it works in my head I just can't articulate it. So many of these moments just feel so quintessentially American - it'd be almost criminal not to include them at the halftime show, of all places. I also feel that they'd be kinda messy if all performed in full but would just really lift it if used in snippets at the perfect moment.

So just imagine she finishes some big song like Poker Face with a rock-y, live band kinda feel on the last chorus (the final 'p-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face'), modulates it with the 2:48 'Young, wild, american [...] girlfriend?' and then those last two kick beats on 'girlfriend' and then BOOM, into another song
