At first I was wary of album tracks at the Superbowl - but Diamond Heart, John Wayne and A-YO would be awesome. They don't even have to be shortened the typical bridge-chorus way or get "full" 1-2 min performances, even if she just did little snippets like "Youuuung, wiiiild, American" and then interpolated into something else it'd be really powerful. That's the way to do it I believe - make 'Joanne' tracks the backing and like binding concept or context of the whole performance, and then perform the hits over that. So you have a little 'young, wild, american' snippet or 'a-yo, a-yo' breakdown that bridges the gap and binds the other songs together with a cohesive sound. I reckon Angel Down could make a special moment too.
Chuck in Poker Face, Bad Romance, Yoü and I and TEOG (and maybe a couple others - I guess you can't go past Born This Way or Just Dance, or Paparazzi come to think of it) and that's a killer halftime.
This is sooo THE album to be doing at the Superbowl, sorry for ever doubting you Gags.
