I still don't see the sonic similarity between the two. John Wayne is incredibly light compared to the amount of layers Heavy Metal Lover has to its production. Besides, John Wayne's production fits in more with radio-friendly pop music in this decade. Heavy is influenced by a completely different time period and sound.

And it also doesn't help that John Wayne is straight up filler.
