And it's a title that's never in contention. Just like The King of Pop, The Queen of Soul, The Godfather of Soul etc. The Queen of Pop is literally the only title in music that's always in contention.

Well it's clear that the title of "Queen of Pop" is always debatable. So there's the answer to the question of this thread. And still, no, Madonna is not always going to be the QOP because she's only a "pop icon" here in the countries I've lived in.
