Yes i stan for the old Gaga, the new one is just boring i guess that i'm close to unstan at this point.
Sad that she work with Ronson and can't bring a single bop.
The Tom Ford commercial is what i was hoping from Gaga, not this boring thing.
Am blasting it out loud and its so good, so is the whole of Joanne. In terms of quality she outdid herself. BTW and TFM were noisy when blasted out loud but this album is serving radio friendly. Except PI, its sort of noisy.
The G.P when they run for their copies of JOANNE after they are slayed by her songs on radio.
1. Diamond Heart- 2/10, boring, nothing special.
2. A-YO- 6/10, kinda catchy melody tho..
3. Joanne- 2/10, another boring song for me. Nothing special.
4. John Wayne- 1/10- trash. enough said. I would give it a negative score if I could.
5. Dancing In Circles- truly the highlight of Joanne. Nice melody of the verses, nice beat. It has to be a single. 8.5/10
6. Perfect Illusion- 6.5/10.
7. Million Reasons- a nice ballad. 7/10 because of the vocals.
8.Sinner's Prayer- 4.5/10. Kinda nice melody of the verses and the chorus. The lyrics are trash tho.
9. Come To Mama- 3/10. ew Very jazzy.
10. Hey Girl- 3.5/10, boring, boring, boring.
11. Angel Down- kinda nice melody, 5/10
Honestly, Joanne was not worth the 3 years wait. I hope she and Ronson never work again. If another artist had released Joanne, I would never give any song from it a second listen besides Dancing In Circles and Million Reasons.
So for those who have listened, does it seem like Perfect Illusion was chosen because it is the closest to a poppy direction from all the songs?
Out of everything on the album PI is definitely the most "instant", most "Gaga" and has a cute, safe theme people can relate too. I'd say there were far better choices tho.
The chorus of Joanne is really memorable, best song on the album. The rest of the album does nothing for me.
I am all for experimenting with new sounds but this is too much of departure of what made Gaga unique in the first place. It's just really bland and uninspiring.
