Prince's breakthrough hit falls! His first flirtation with the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and what a debut.

Despite what members with... questionable taste have said about this, it is great. I went from loving it initially to being over it to loving it again. It's sonically pleasing already but lyrically amazing. The car and horse metaphors? Amazing. The disgusting used trojans line? Amazing. 99% of the song using no gendered pronouns? Amazing.

Special mention to when he misses his cue at one of the last choruses and rushes that "Littleredcorvettuh" to fit in the time. King.

Big hit for Cyndi Lauper here, following up one iconic, long-lasting, legendary hit with another. She was really on top of the world with this album.

The song itself... um, lifetime movie soundtrack teas. It's dull to me, sorry! I love the spunk and energy on Girls Just Wanna... but this one leaves me bored. She Bop, Money Changes Everything, When You Were Mine >
Cyndi had many good songs so it's sad that this of all of them is the big one.
