I can't believe "Water Under the Bridge" could be her last single with XL. I'm still finding it hard to wrap my head around that. I'm so used to her being signed to XL, I just can't imagine it any other way! All I know is that this single better get plenty of promotion. She should release the Church Studios performance and the actual video for twice the promo.

Also, I never had any doubt that she was an extremely charitable person. I remember during the 21 tour, she requested that anyone with meet-and-greets or that got tickets for free donate money to a charity (I think it was Sands). It's so rare to find a pop star on her level who is still humble. I love that story about her and the people from Skins. That's amazing. She's seriously such an incredible person... I wanna be best friends with her.

EDIT: Also, thought I'd add that yesterday, I blasted "Water Under the Bridge" on repeat in my car, and let me tell you, it sounds GLORIOUS. It better smash. It's the kind of song that just needs to be blasted for the entire world to hear!

I actually think they should either release the church video performance or a video performance of the tour (to promote the vd as well) the next new weeks, to give the song a boost. Then when it's higher on the radio, release a music video.
Anyway I'm excited ! Such a great choice !

Agreed, Bendi! It should get a live performance and an official video. I think that's the ideal situation, considering she's on tour and obviously isn't going to promote it at all. But this song has the potential to be a huge smash, and for them to just ignore it completely would be a waste. Especially if she plans on disappearing again, they should make an effort to give this song the longevity it's capable of having and deserves to have.

And yeah, that's an old pic. I think it's just a placeholder until she officially releases the single artwork. I would imagine she'll post it on Instagram in the next few days. Every other single has received a standalone release on European iTunes Stores, so it will probably get it's own single artwork. I can't imagine she'd use that. (Although it is a flawless pic; I'd be fine with that being the single artwork if it weren't for the fact that it's a few years old!)

Me too, OneAndOnly. I NEED an official single artwork, a radio promo CD, and at least one music video. I just NEED this song to be given the justice it deserves. She cannot sabotage any more singles the way she did "When We Were Young."

In truth, Adele got $50m advance and $10m guarantee going forward, but with the ability to earn more based on sales of her previous records. What the story got right is that it’s a worldwide deal, beginning with her next record.

"Ability to earn more based on sales of her previous records" makes it sound like Sony has bought all of Adele's music rights. XL financiers would not like that at all. It would be (and will be) a huge blow for them financially.
