Nooooo! "Telephone" is already falling down the Top 20, and declining on radio. It'll move even quicker in a couple weeks. "Alejandro" needs a video like now to save it from mediocrity.
Also, Celestial said it, this debut will be essential for her because there's a small chance she'll get to #1 later. Though, #1 is out of the question anyways since she would need over 300,000 to get there. I'm predicting up to 130k, which will get her....somewhere in the Top 20? Cause her airplay is still pretty low despite being out for 2 weeks. After that it'll be a struggle to re-peak (a la "Blah Blah Blah", "Obsessed").
She should've done promotion prior to the iTunes. :-/ The song's not good enough to generate high interest like say BEP with "BBP", and she's no power artist like Madonna or Britney to release songs without promo.
Her fans keep thinking this is going to re-peak at #1 or something somewhere down the line and that couldn't be any more further from the truth. Performances or no performances. It will have a high burn out radio on radio because the song is lousy and is only going so far due to hype and then its abysmal itunes performance thus far hasn't done her any favors either. Next week will be the song's peak on the HOT 100 and I think it's time her fans accepted it

If you have a big fanbase you can but its obvious that ship has sailed for Christina. Her own fault for taking 7 year breaks between albums
