Lemonade reaffirmed the visual album format and showed us how she can see her vision through right up until the moment of release. It was built to be something that we as a mass media audience consume and it delivered. The fact it is multifaceted, overloaded with ethos, and packed with bangers is what makes it a cut above her contemporaries. Not a masterpiece but it takes a lot of our generational themes and makes it into something anyone can pick up and understand and appreciate. Stay mad hater hoes, you keep trying to not make this album happen. Guess what? It already happened.
