So you have to wonder, if they had the option of including one song (or two for that matter) that sonically doesn't represent the album but they deemed it 'single worthy' out of all the songs they were presented with (including redones)... how bad were those redone songs that they chose PI instead .

Yes, I do. Working with the same producer over and over again doesn't necessarily mean repetitive tracks. They still can be innovative. Joanne is so bad, I hope it flops hard (I mean, according to most of you, Gaga doesn't care about the charts, right? So jinxing it won't affect her) and, then, she FINALLY goes back to RedOne in the next era.

Mark Ronson was the one who brought Kevin Parker to work on PI, not Interscope.

PI was a demo from Kevin Parker. And they re-worked the track.

Maaaaaaaaybe Interscope heard the original demo and thought it would work as Gaga's lead, we don't now.
