Honestly, I think that she and her team were expecting a better result, the hype was huge for the new era and probably they thought that this imagine-change would have been more successful, but it also true that 'a pushed back' now would have made this Indie-country era less credible.
About Nadir, I need to listen his material to judge, clearly the sound should have been different from Poker-Bad Romance, but a change in her imagine and sound was needed, so I appreciate the actual effort, like I always did with her risks and changes.
So far I'm satisfied with the two songs that she has released, they are great, but I'm not totally slayed, from Mark Ronson I was expecting a mixed sound between Amy Winehouse and Bruno Mars, more uptempo-soul-jazz and R&B (also because Gaga was coming from a Jazz era), we'll see with the rest of the album tho, I don't even remember the snippets now because I hear them once, except from the Florence duet that sounded very good to me.
