Idk but I definitely think labels are putting a lot of releases on Thursday purposely for a reason now.

Maybe you'll get a higher iTunes peak because you're not competing with new releases, but the fact that your first 7 days are split between two charting weeks (thus lowering your Hot 100 debut) would seem to discourage labels from doing Thursday releases.

I don't believe that labels value iTunes peaks over Hot 100 debuts, so I think something else is up.
