PI, G.U.Y., MTN, Judas dispelled that when it was the mid-tempos and ballads from those respected albums that outperformed them tracks to fans surprise not the upbeat tracks / boppy fan favourites. MR is the most non-polarizing tracks, is a new direction for her and a great example of Joanne (unlike PI), will become a singing contest staple option like an Adele track / Y&I has, feels like a future Lady Gaga classic and I can't wait for her to close SuperBowl with it while everyone balls their eyes out and hugs their loved ones.

Really depends - Selena did 6/7 songs (including a cover of Shake It Off), Britney did 5/6 as well. I hope we get five at least. Also, wouldn't mind zero covers of tracks and a Joanne non-single in it's place to show off the album.

The reason it won't be a TEOG/DWUW situation is bc they don't seem to have a second single planned yet. Both of those times, they scrambled together to make a last minute plan.
exactly, during ARTPOP era applause was released earlier than PI and was still top 10, whereas now they can easily release a 2nd single around album release.
