Lemonade is a cultural phenomenon. It's big in real world, not just charts and radio. I know this will get laughed at, but it's true. Beyonce in last 3 eras is an absolute goddess in terms of impact and success. The charts simply fail to reflect that because her songs are not your standard radio fodder. And no, the same doesn't apply to all your flop faves. Only very select few.

And this pretty much sums up
25, and Adele in general.
Lemonade is more ingrained in popular culture. While Adele was just selling albums and singles, "Formation" was grabbing national attention from the video and the SB performance. One of the biggest artists forcing America, and more or less the world, to acknowledge injustices in America. Nothing Adele has done with
25 has reached the discussion level as the FM video or SB performance. Not only that, she's continuously redefining promotion and how albums are released. These are the differences between a pop star and an icon, and soon to be legend.
95% of atrl needs to understand sales aren't the only determinant of popularity.
True Blue and
Like A Virgin might be Madonna's best selling albums, but
Like A Prayer and
Ray of Light are more career defining bodies of work. Why atrl doesn't see its own hypocrisy is hilarious, and almost puzzling.
