I don't think it's as good as Locked Out of Heaven but this is still a masterpiece. I've never listened to his albums but his singles (only since Unorthodox Jukebox) always serve.
I think in large part because this was a sound that was never really big on Pop radio (but on the other hand this is SO rooted in Black radio of the 80's(acts like Zapp) that it might go over some heads). This is on some G **** though.
This is the exact reason why. Which is why it's so hard to have a proper "music" discussion with a lot of people on here because they don't know the history or origins of real music. Like to me the Daft Punk comparisons were not only silly but cringe-y. It really sucks the pioneers of a lot of sounds that influences music today isn't acknowledged because it wasn't big on Pop or International radio, mostly just Urban.
this sounds like a great value uptown funk. I feel like the whole retro vibe is tired now. The lead singles from these mainstream artist are underwhelming imo

Bruno would probably mention them when he talks about this song, he knows the history of music, I don't like Daft Punk and I think they are overrated, their song with the weeknd is nothing special too.
