What I understand is that although her album is very high on Metacritic, it's much more deserving than Lemonade (which is the one that truly benefitted overtly from industry politics). People don't care that she's Beyonce's sister (see: her other ****** releases). They care that she made a wonderful album with strong R&B roots and celebratory blackness, with ups and downs. Beyonce veils her album as being pro-black at its core with the visual element to it, when in reality 1.5 songs on her album actually detail this. Solange delivered a sister album to To Pimp A Butterfly.
