I've heard one track I would even mention "country." That would be Sinner's Prayer.
A guitar does not equal country. It's an instrument, as is a piano, violin and a drum. Before the majority of this forum was born, this is how a lot of musicians produced music - without electronics, the technology of today.
Don't be so stubborn to check out new music. Screaming "it's country!!!" isn't enough. Type a few sentences and hit submit. Cheers.
Well, id say its more in the RONAN Taylor Swift zones and not Purple rain areas, queen from born this way is in the purple rain zones.
Why are people saying Gaga sounds horrible, she sounds quite okay. i actually like the song.
Eh I get the Country vibe from Ronan but this song is much bigger than Ronan, I guess that's why some of those others were coming to mind (also the live performance with the ending guitar solo)
Like they're no better than the Kitty Kats who are ok with getting Teenage Dream over and over again at this point Gaga has showcased her diversity time and time again, and with this record so far, she CONTINUES to do so. I'm a fan of her experimental songs that don't just stick to the dance pop formula. Electric Chapel, Edge of Glory, & Heavy Metal Lover, for example, are some of my favorite songs of hers. So these new songs are falling right in line. Music is so much more than the "genre" it's labeled as. It's an artist sharing the stories of their heart and soul with the listeners. Gaga's stories speak to me, and no amount of country twang or banjos and fiddles would change that

I'm glad there ARE monsters that are giving this a chance. It's a shame to ignore this just because it isn't the SAME OLD TIRED dance pop. I feel sad for those who limit themselves and the type of music they listen to. Oh well, it's them missing out, not us so
I'm kinda getting into her new country vibe. I always thought the country road version of Born This Way was pretty good. Gaga can sell anything to me for sure, because you can tell she believes in the material so much (even if it's not as good as she believes) but it's so adorable cause she has so much passion.
Besides did we need another album of EDM sounding songs? I don't think so. I just wish her new effort was more in line with what's trending musically currently, but whatever if this is the way she feels she can convey her ideas then I'm listening.
I actually love how she is going against trends. Joanne is much more mature and sincere than all of her previous work, and really shows who Gaga/Stefani is at her core. She has been doing EDM longer than most pop artists, and I don't want her ******** out another dance album to make fake fans happy and appease radio listeners.

Yes, she would. I'm a bigger Gaga fan than I am Miley's, but this would fit MC's style so much. Still, Gaga has bigger pipes (IMO) so I'm glad.
The MR chorus hits you so hard the first time you listen to it, that's why I think it would do well on radio (but what the hell do I know?).

But yes, she sounds amazing on Daddy Lessons. Gaga doesn't on Million Reasons.
