i feel like a lot of people drag him bc he's ugly, but honestly i think it's a great design. incorporates the chinese influence really well, and the character he's inspired by (some pig demon) is well represented imo. typing him fire/fighting was dumb tho.

Well, I basically dislike him because of what you said. It's ugly + that LAZY ass typing. If they did him a bit different and part Ground or something more left field it could have turned out much better. It's just so reductive and derivative as it.
Not like the other two from that Gen are much better, though.
I feel like Popplio's final evo is gonna be a bulky water/fairy. I can see Litten's being a fast mixed attacker sorta like Infernape. Rowlett gives me well rounded stats sorta like Meganuim.
