Imo, there won't be new megas - except for possibly Mangina since she mythical anyway and won't be allowed in VGC. It's so they can have Z-moves be the main focus of 2017's VGC. I do think they'll return for 2018's tho and they'll add megas in remakes in future. I think we're done with 3rd versions tho.
I can't with some of you and your "we got nothing" memes. When we literally got the most information we've ever had in a trailer besides potentially the Alola Forms one. We literally got:

It would make more sense for it to gain the ice typing via ice stone.
