YEP, Katy named herself.
This song will be 10 years old and these butt hurt comments will still be made about bad blood. Who really cares if it is about katy, had she been a man trying to steal dancers the song would have still been written. It is a grammy award winning video and songwriters write songs. She felt betrayed by a person who she felt tried to sabatoge her tour.
Demi would not understand that because she does not have successful big $200m tours. Someone like beyonce or Madonna could probably relate to the way Taylor felt. Of course Demi has no way of knowing that, yet.

The angriest song on 1989 is called "Bad Blood," and it's about another female artist Swift declines to name. "For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," she says. "She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'" Then last year, the other star crossed a line. "She did something so horrible," Swift says. "I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."
(Pressed, Swift admits there might have been a personal element to the conflict. "But I don't think there would be any personal problem if she weren't competitive," she says.)
As is often the case, Swift dealt with her emotions by writing about them. "Sometimes the lines in a song are lines you wish you could text-message somebody in real life," she says. "I would just be constantly writing all these zingers – like, 'Burn. That would really get her.' And I know people are going to obsess over who it's about, because they think they have all my relationships mapped out. But there's a reason there are not any overt call-outs in that song. My intent was not to create some gossip-fest. I wanted people to apply it to a situation where they felt betrayed in their own lives."
Swift is still talking about "Bad Blood" when she starts to explain why she wants everyone to know it's about a female. "I know people will make it this big girl-fight thing," she says. "But I just want people to know it's not about a guy. You don't want to shade someone you used to date and make it seem like you hate him, when that's not the case.

She said nothing about dancers. Katy did when she leaked the story to TMZ immediately after the RS article was published.

No, but gathering a "squad" of women, putting them in a music video with an aim of bringing down another woman, all while manipulatively pretending to be the victim of the whole universe is definitely anti feminism.
She is also exposed as a liar and the poster child of white feminism, ie "I will use feminism only when it benefits me". Didn't Taylor cry feminism when Amy and Tina joked about her crazy dating habit? And 3 years later she and her "friends" ganged up and tried to tear down another woman. Time is the ultimate truth teller indeed.

Taylor most definitely had someone Demi could relate to in Bad Blood:
Sorry that you're just now getting the memo Demi sis!

I don't think Taylor was in the right in the Katy situation as I've said multiple times because I'm not a mindless stan but Demi is still in the wrong here saying girls have abnormal bodies and relentlessly attacking Taylor for no apparen reason

She is so pressed they are slaying and she keeps flopping, she must be pissed she isn't part of if and doesn't have the fame/relevance Taylor and Selena have. Demi stays in the media by talking smack about other female celebs and that is the truth

Demi Lovato talks about women's empowerment and not tearing them down in the same interview where she tears down women's bodies because they don't look like hers because clearly her body type is the only correct one.
Also let me correct one more thing: Hating/disliking a woman is NOT anti-feminist, hating/disliking a woman because she IS a woman is anti-feminist.

If she's going to imply Katy or "female artist she declines to name " sabotaged her arena tour I don't get how Katy is not supposed to defend herself. The song itself is vague, this interview isn't.

Also, to be clear, she's obviously addressing the part of the squad that Taylor wants to be seen on red carpets with, not Lena Dunham. Oh, and "all different sizes and ethnicities" give me a break....who, Zendaya and Serayah? So 7 of the 20 were VS models, and 2 of the 20 were of a different ethnic background? Groundbreaking

once again this is Taylor Swift's personal friendships not crayola box 64 pack with sharpener

So dramatic. She didn't "gather a squad of women", she asked her friends to film a fun pop music video with her. And it's not about "bringing down another woman", it's about having bad blood with someone. Why are you grasping at straws and jumping through hoops to make a statement about feminism?

This post is so extra.
Bad Blood is a song about betrayal that doesn't mention any names or make any overt reference to anybody, and the music video is about a fictional mob or gang. Don't Taylor and the other girls actually go after Selena in the video? Get your story straight

Taylor and Selena should invite Demi to the squad, that'll show they have diversity.
