Britney's prime was way too big, Gaga is now in a similar position.

Britney seems like she debuted before all the others (and I mean like 5 years earlier) when in reality they came at the same time kind of, but Britney completely overshadowed them all, so it's not really fair.

It's easier to sustain longevity when you have years where you are lowkey especially in the beginning of your career, cuz the " cool factor" is more likely to be sustained.

Ain't Your Mama is bigger than Just Like Fire in many European countries and Latin America though. P!nk's biggest markets are only Australia, United States and maybe the UK.

Pink is still playing catch up to Britney's first two albums with her discography. That doesn't mean I can claim Britney's been outselling her from 1998-now. Likewise, he can't claim P!nk's been outselling Britney for a decade when her last album in the past four years, almost half of that decade, failed to outsell two of Britney's.

Anyway, Beyonce is still relevant because she is a perfectionist, is obliviously multi-talented, and is incredibly smart and strategic about her career and surrounds herself with a really amazing team of collaborators. I also think the lack of press and the mystery about her helps and reminds me of the way old school celebs used to handle the press (I think MJ is a lot of her inspiration in terms of how she runs her career.)

Pink makes unmemorable non-controversial middle of the road music that appeals to middle-aged people who still purchase music, and is known for being a very dynamic live performer. While she has album and tour success she does not have the "star power" of Britney or even J Lo in the sense that no one in the mainstream media writes or checks for her on a regular basis.

P!nk last solo album was TTAL and that has outsold Britney's last 3 albums combined . Britney was a Justin-Bieber-type of artist 99-02, a huge teen star, but that was about it. P!nk is in her own lane, she has been superior to Britney as a musician from the very beginning. No need to catch up when she's been above her for a decade now .
