OMG y'all are just too much. I don't even know where to begin...
This was clearly an attack against her for her religion. Tons of people don't shake hands due to germ reasons. Hell, some people wear gloves 24/7 and still refuse to shake hands. And when people come across people like that it's just oh, they're a germaphobe/what a weirdo/etc. But then some muslim woman does it and suddenly it's sexist and discriminatory against men? wat. Especially being that islam is very pro-man.
I mean seriously, as long as her beliefs don't affect how she teaches and she isn't making ridiculous demands of her co-workers/students, who cares?!? It simply just isn't the same as refusing to shake someones hand for being black or gay. Some of you are reaching so damn far with those comments that I am afraid your arms might pop out of their sockets.
If this was a christian lady who got fired for wearing a cross to school or some sh*t everyone would be all up in arms. But because muslims are portrayed in a bad light and are under a microscope right now, it's okay. I swear, I cannot believe the white washing/normalization/conformity some of you guys perpetuate.

We all just need to respect each other's cultures. What's so hard about that? A religion is something much more deep carved into someone's heart compared to a simple handshake that male staff is angry about.
