If only that great job yielded great music, but that hasn't been the case for more than half a decade now. Now she's just coasting on her previous success a la Britney. And much like the Army, her fans are pretending that that's sufficient.
I mean, at least she has her family and friends. That's more than many people have, unfortunately.
