I didn't either, but at least Sanders was relatively consistent with his positions. Trump literally adopts a new position every hour and his cult will pretend that nothing changed. Before 2008 Missouri did too. Before 2000 the taller candidate always won. Before 2012 presidents were always reelected with a higher percentage of vote than when they were elected. etc etc.

We only get one variable every four years, it's hard to form a model based on that when there are so many changing external variables. Ohio's importance has been declining, in the past 4 censuses Ohio has lost congressional seats, which mean its electoral vote is smaller.
