Truth is Bernie hurt Hillary's popularity a lot. She wasn't a she-devil until she started running against Bernie and he greatly benefitted from that sort of coverage. Agreed, he damaged her even when it was clear he wouldn't win because of his ego. The GOP has called her untrustworthy and corrupt for decades, but he, being a Dem (well...sorta), gave those characterizations new credence for a younger generation. Hillary played prevent defense with him but in retrospect she should've dispatched him quickly. Cool efforts from him now but it's too little too late and feels disingenuous.
