Beyoncé is a VOCALIST. She adds hidden harmonies and vocal riffs to already composed melodies from songs to make them sound better. That dosent make her a songwriter.
I'm surprised this is still a thing 15 years after ATRL's inception. I would have thought we'd have learned by now that writing words to music is a skill called lyric-writing. While songwriting encompasses that AND everything outside of that.
