What I'm slowly realizing is that Gaga seems to be turning the Pop world upside down, in respect to her new direction.
Seeing all the reactions to the music/video from fans and GP is becoming really interesting, considering the focus is now truly on making music that is much more personal to her as a human being.
It makes it even harder to process considering this is an artist that we've know for years to be Gaga, but is once again doing the unexpected and putting aside all the glamour and superficial aspects of her act and leaving it completely out of her work.
There's definitely a lot more to this "change in direction" than it seems. Its almost surreal tbh.
But... Cher started off doing folk-rock, then experimented with jazz/soul, then moved into TV, then went Disco, then went rock, then went into movies, then went into dance-pop.
It's you guy's fault that she is disenchanted with (pure) pop music lol
I'm personally living for this change. But you guys can't complain when some of yall were already over the ARTPOP era the minute the album dropped. Monsters move on so fast. It's like you guys can't ever get satisfied. EVER. So the fact that she works her butt off, releases music and then sees it plummet on the charts, gets bashed by critics and most importantly by "fans", who she made the music for, does not help her in loving pop culture or pop music. If anything it alienates her from that scene. Gaga is truly the bullied girl of the music industry and the worst part about it all is that her fans are in fact her biggest bullies and Debbie downers.
She released perfect illusion as a way to skim through the chart obsessed trash in her fan base and to get a different fan base with a different perspective on music, one that comes from a place of love and respect. Not the old weird and unhealthy relationship she had with her "fans" before. If you simply don't like the song that's OK lol but those fans who keep harassing her, talking about how disappointed they are in her, how she is a huge flop etc are a different case.
Our gaga of today is on a journey of healing a broken and wounded soul
and if her fans are in the way of that self healing process she will gladly continue to cut yall out of the picture. She does not belong to you and you do not belong to her anymore. Rejoice and love yourselves today baby dolls

Me too! The parts that were really annoying to me before (chorus and key raise) didn't feel that annoying anymore. Days ago you wouldn't even catch me singing this, but today I was sort of bopping.
She is so hot this era kinda reminds me when I saw her ass in the BR video and I wamted to be inside of her ever since .... The biggest downer of the BTW era was that she looked ugly 99% pf the time with horns amd big mole on her face. I'm loving the PI era sp far and cant wait for the album.
