I really like HC. Catchy POP BOPS. One of her better 'recent' albums imo. I like Give It 2 Me, Candy Shop, Beat Goes On and Miles Away the best

All very nice. So, I'm a big GHV2-era person so I'm pretty much going to side with anything that happened 92-01 no matter what and find myself eternally slain by her ballads from this era especially. I know In This Life came out in 1992 though, on the magnificent Erotica. I love that little lamb chop.

Side Note: We can talk for days about Promise To Try and how perfect it is. How any Madonna can could dislike such a melodic and soul-baring wonder is a disturbing question I don't care to explore further.

So,I'm going to ignore the middle to last part of your post
Most importantly,what's the point in praising Madonna bops?
If you say the likes of Holy Water,GGW,Revolver &Celebration are sheer bops,you get trashed to pieces.
If you say White Heat and Where's the Party are pop perfection,people say "True Poo " belongs in the garbage can.
Cherish and Dear Jessie are vomit inducing
The remix for What it Feels Like for a Girl is horrid.
Hard Candy is an embarrassment.
Like a Virgin is filled with duds from start to finish (bar ,maybe,Dress You Up).
Even Confessions gets trashed from time to time.
So,all in all ,if you don't praise the same songs ,aka Vogue and Into The Groove you're dead wrong.
So,I REALLY DON'T see.the point tbh.

Hard Grammy is amazing. The album. The cover. Her fans couldn't take it. They weren't used to it after years of playing it safe.

You know it took a good seven or eight years for me to fully appreciate Get Together. And it's just like you to dismiss it like that.

Seriously though, Confessions is such a rich album. The melodies, the mood, it wasn't just some slapped-together chicken-ass album. That was the first album she released after I became a fan and I'm so thankful to have experienced that era properly.
