nah I don't think they were going to give it to her before Rihanna. They are usually giving it based on years in the industry.

Where's the Tumblr post with all of the Born This Way promo? I think if people see that, they'll see what she's not doing.

Chris is referring to Gaga not feeling comfortable with excessively working to promote a record that she's confident will sell by specific, target audience-based promotion, and not just saying yes to every talk show, etc. It's incredibly tiring for her. Not to mention that it's rather useless at this point. She's in a different point in her career. She's not desperate to impress nor feels the need to obtain success for her label, management. How to put it? She's not being worked like a horse?

Much of what he's said is common sense. We've watched her career become what it is. He's just talking to the right people.

Lady Gaga wants to be an artist for decades, not be worked tirelessly into the ground. Spoiled and ruined before she's 40.

It's interesting that she appeared the Oscars, which is full of fakery as well. Maybe she feels more comfortable around that crowd since they embraced her, whereas I don't think the music industry understands Gaga as an artist.

You can't really perform your song in front of a bunch of radio programmers at a music summit and then sign a deal for it to be spun every hour while at the same time claim to be treating the era as a "debut indie" one (I still don't believe this fan conspiracy to be true).

It's either one or the other. And the path she chose isn't really working. If she wanted to get out of the mainstream, then she wouldn't have given a "first listen" to anybody, and would have just dropped it low-key like how indie artists typically do.

So she should just get her ass in front of the television cameras and sing.

to talking on tv is tiring to her but talking on radio isn't ?

Television is a lot different than radio, though. It's informal for starters. No preparation for questions, rehearsals, 'be here, there, everywhere' whenever the show requests her to be. Calling a station and saying hey, I'm dropping by tomorrow around lunchtime is more convenient. Less exposure to the public eye. Which is great because she was too famous at her worst.

We need to remember that ARTPOP nearly killed her, emotionally. Idt she's joking when she said she wanted to quit.

Having just returned from injury for working too hard, stress from Troy, personal problems (illnesses, death, Taylor.)

I'm just pleased to see her happy and don't want too much from her, just everything she's willing to give. Which is more than other fanbases get from their faves, let's be honest. I'll be grateful for what I have than demand more. If that makes sense.

I agree with a lot of this. Being an understanding and caring fan base is seriously the most important thing right now for us. I truly believe that, no matter how this era turns out
