When a singer releases a bad single, that's not just "my opinion bad" but isn't clicking with most people and critics they're gonna be expected to underperform with it, especially if they haven't had a hit in a minute.

I guess it'd be more shocking if she had released a great single with great appeal and it performed this way. The second I heard it I knew she ruined her era. That's how I view it...

It's surprising that Make Me peaked at #17 and sold similarly in its first week, because Britney just came off a well received BBMA tribute and the song was actually good / radio-friendly. PI is neither.
