I don't understand how people here can excuse someone saying the f word with the whole "upbringing" argument but then totally go in on those who say the n word even though that same excuse can often fit that situation as well.

I think it's an all around ******** excuse but this is just an interesting observation.

In terms of Nicki's connection here - I understand that we shouldn't judge a person through their partner, but her sticking with him even though he is clearly homophobic is unfortunately indicative of her views towards us, whether they be actual homophobia or just apathy towards the LGBT+ community.

It's not an excuse. It's still bad to say both.

But it doesn't mean he's against gay people and he can still get educated. Many rappers have used it at some point but they learned it was wrong.
