Honestly you gotta ask what you want her to gain from being #1? The superficial title? Do you want her to bring new fans in or something? I can understand wanting her to be successful but you can still be successful without a #1 and believe me, I am disappointed in the lead single off her first album in 3 years but we all gotta get over it.

If she ends up alienating her fanbase over her own decisions, it might be for the better. She is making music she wants to make and if you don't like it, go listen to the HUNDREDs of other generic dance pop songs there are out there. She is differentiating herself, like she always does and nobody realizes it.

But the GP is who buys Gaga's albums and sngles in the first place. They are the ones who helped TFM to sell 16M and Gaga to sell more than 120M singles WW. Gaga got famous because of dance-pop songs, people got used to them and they want that. Sure, had some of early work been rock pop/ballads or a genre other than dance-pop maybe she would have a chance to smash. But she released dance pop for 6 years straight. If people let go then what? Flop singles, flop albums, low grossing tours and respectively low budgets for videos, tour stages etc. See, Artpop flopped and Interscope did not even give money for the G.U.Y video. And now PI is bombing.
On the other hand TMB and BTWB had her best stages because her albums were selling and people were here for that music( not so much for BTW tho).

Yea but it's easy to say "just leave!" but it's not so easy to put into practice when you've spent years of your life thinking you LOVE this artist and that they're your favourite artist, and now they're making music you don't get. It's like, you're torn, you want to stick by them, but you know you're lying to yourself if you continue to go along with it. That's what's so dangerous about stanning, it's not so easy to pull away (as the GP have done since 2011).

I mean I'm sure there are plenty of people still in this thread screaming "Perfect Illusion rocks!" but they know they hate it.

Sorry, boy but Gaga should be the one worried about that. It's her career not yours. Or are you afraid that you are going to be bullied by the OGHs on ATRL? If that's the case you should evaluate your life completely and maybe close your ATRL account once and for all. The Monsters are more worried about her career than herself and Interscope. What's new?
