I don't even know what to say lol. On one hand PI is a great song and I want it to succeed for Gaga. But on the other, she willingly chose to release a very risky song knowing the state of her damaged pop career, especially with the "youth". And if she's fine with being a non-mainstream artist, why should we care?

Focus on the music.

The Nadir songs being scrapped has nothing to do with "being good enough". That's subjective anyway. Plenty of times songs leak / bonus tracks get released and everyone cries, "This is better than half the standard, WHO decided this track listing?!?"

Artists and record execs sometimes get it wrong. It happens.

And I'm also angry at people who say that Gaga doesn't owe us anything... She indeed does. It is this fanbase that made her what she was. We have invested our time and soul into her. I still don't understand why she has to release a personal album this early in the career. She should have done that after a successful pop era. And also the immense fangirling of Mark Ronson needs to stop. She never praised her previous producers like this and it makes me irate.

It's just a shame that Gaga loses a lot of opportunities because she would be better off with a smash hit record. It's not doing wonders for her promotional campaign leading to the album nor do I think at this stage a full LP will sell out her world tour, like Beyoncé.

I don't see what's wrong with this single as a taste of what's to come. People seem interested, but I'm being constantly told everyday by atrl that she needs a hit otherwise she's over (again?) So yeah, just really hitting it harder for the people who don't comprehend what others are saying - if PI fails and this is her last album, she may as well join the band with Kesha and call it a day

Sister. Her vocals are low key jarring on the track esp after the key change and they drown out the whole song, which has no bass or boom in the production to back it up. It sounds like a demo with potential to become an album track after some more work. Can we be real here for once?

I've loved Gaga for 5 years and really wanted this to be the big musical comeback for her but it's clearly not. And her abysmal chart performance is only reiterating that point.

Oh, and Perfect Illusion is still fantastic. Criticising the vocals, calling it a demo, saying the song is too short, saying the chorus sounds like a bridge/pre-chorus just tells me you miss the entire point of the song.
