This makes no sense to me, 6/7 short years ago Lady Gaga was the biggest artist on the face of the earth, WHO would've guessed that by the end of the decade she basically ushered us into pop culture wise so would be overtaken by the times

Gaga has been struggling to make a hit song to release, she's talented but she needs hits songs, we all saw what happened to Rihanna when she tried to act artistic and she delayed the album's release and then came back to release another catchy song with work despite the fact that her fans think it is risky but it's not, it's a catchy sexy song that everybody can enjoy and dance to. This is what Gaga needs simple enjoyable catchy songs with a good chorus getting played on the radio and she will be adding another hit to her discography.

I agree. It's obvious at this point that people just hate the song for some reason. If Gaga truly wants a hit single she can release something generic and smash but I guess that's not what she's going for this era

The video could still rescue this, assuming it's a typical must-see Gaga extravaganza. Of course, at the current rate, it's probably going to drop below Make Me before Tuesday evening so we're hoping for a mighty bounceback here. Just mindblowing that it hasn't had a single uptick yet.

She's an artiste now, so... She probably won't cancel it.

Mark Ronson isn't even the problem, either. He's an established hitmaker that's been producing hits for almost a decade now (Amy Winehouse, Bruno Mars, Lily Allen, etc.). BloodPop also produced on one of this years biggest singles, too. The problem is her wanting to make her vocals on her songs as unenjoyable to the casual ear as possible (Dope, TIHTY, and now this). You would have to be a diehard fan to love it, and even if you were at that level, you'd pretty much say anything she released would be top quality.

Unfortunately for most artists (Gaga being one of them) you need hits to stay relevant. That doesn't neccessarily mean you can't make an artistic album as a whole; it just means that you have to "sell out" for a song or two on an album and give the gp what it wants. I wish that wasn't the case but it's the reality of the industry if and only if you want to be really popular.

Edit: Holy sh**, when did PI fall to number 20? I genuinely didn't realize it was this bad. Lady Gaga was the biggest star in the world in 2010/2011.
