Ofc a superbowl halftime show headliner who has sold more than 100M records worldwide with 3 albums is a pop icon. Can't say the same about FADS who lasted 3 years though

Born this way is/was just as jarring/polarizing as perfect illusion. released today it would have the same trajectory as PI. Even applause despite its catchy hook only performed well because of what was left of her star power, because alot of the lyrics were noticeably tacky/terrible. PI just shows she cant coast on her ever shrinking fan base anymore

Applause and Born This Way are catchy, and BTW was actually received very positively outside of ATRL.
