I think you're absolutely right, Cockney!

Adele is in a very unique position in that she has at least two songs that will outlive her and us all, RITD and SLY. I can't decide, both songs are so impactful, often imitated but never duplicated.

I agree; the impact that both songs had is INCREDIBLE. It's really hard to determine which is her best song.

@AdeleAddict i've always had that idea, no matter what song of hers i enjoy atm there's no denying that RITD will forever be her greatest song, truly a perfectly crafted timeless gem. I wish i could be with her and Paul during the creation process.

That's how I feel. I've always thought of "Rolling in the Deep" as her best, and "Someone Like You" as her signature song. I'd KILL to see the creative process between her and Paul.

My fav is HG. I believe her best song is SLY, closely followed by RITD. RITD is more complex in composition but imo the emotional power and universality of SLY hasn't been touched by any song since its release, and may never be.

You bring up a great point, as well! "Rolling in the Deep" is a lot more complex than "Someone Like You," but I think the simplicity of "Someone Like You" is one of the things that makes it so easy to relate to. The emotion in the song is something that I haven't seen any other songs do since. It really is something special.
