It's simple. Gaga is a grown ass woman, 30 yo woman. It's been almost a decade since she debuted... Y'all have changed in those 10 or so years (I hope cause otherwise ) yet you don't want to face the fact that she has also.
You're describing people who like her current work as apologists and dismissing the fact that some of us maybe grew tired of the 'old gaga'. The whole over the top antics and what not, maybe became tiring to some. It certainly seems that's the case for her. Why are you generalizing. Some people have simply learned to accept the fact that she's not here to please us.

is their problem. And they're coming to this thread to discuss it. The problem is some people unwilling to let any kind of critical conversation about Gaga to happen.

I love Perfect Illusion and am more hyped for this album than I have been for any album since ARTPOP.
I'm not describing people who like her current work as apologists. I'm describing apologists as apologists. People who shut down any critique of her. I like her current work so why would I drag myself like that?
