I find Katy Perry to be about the least inspiring pop star in the world. I can’t stand the lyrics of this, not just bad and trite, but perverting the melody’s scansion.

How could something so ponderous possibly rise?

Rise was in the New Music Friday playlist for a day and was in other popular playlists. Not that super popular one, but she was still in other playlists. The best she could do was #90? Haha. PLUS she had a week deal with Apple Music where she flopped. She reached #2 on the AP charts and left the Top 30 by the next Friday.
