Depends what you like.

For Madonna I recommend listening to her greatest hits first then picking which songs are good from there.

My faves: Madonna, True Blue, some songs on Like A Prayer, Bedtime Stories, Ray Of Light and Confessions

all of Katy's albums are great, but I'd start with Teenage Dream since it's basically a greatest hits album
