Idk, attributing the WDTA success to Selena only is not right. Not when Charli Puth has had a #1 hit on the Hot 100 and Selena has never touched the top 3. Ariana & Nicki on the other hand have both had top 3s in the past.

WDTA is Charlie's first top 10 as a lead artist, Selena already has five and WDTA was his highest charting single on iTunes when his album dropped and was his only single to chart on the hot 100 months before it was officially released as a single
Also, I'm crying at "Selena is taken seriously by the industry/artists unlike Ariana". Is that why Ariana got two Grammy noms after less than two years in the industry while Selena has zero Grammy noms after seven years? Ariana has been praised by Celine Dion. Xtina praised her and did a live duet with her. Patti Labelle did a live duet with her and praised her vocal ability. Britney said Ariana inspires her. Stevie Wonder was wowed by her tribute to him and now he's releasing a collab with her. Aretha Franklin said she wants to do a duet with Ariana. Madonna brought Ariana on stage on her tour. But congrats to Selena for being Taylor's lapdog!

Selena also had I Want You To Know, which tanked despite Selena stans thinking Zedd was responsible for Break Free being a hit, and she put an album out. Did you forget that?

False, only LMH and a little bit of Bang Bang!
So I guess Focus didn't give a support for last year chart range but well only half of LMH, one small piece of Bang Bang and the whole run of fifth single One Last Time, which was also the floppest one off the era!
WTF how is this possible? I really thought Selena was killing the singles game from the Disney/Nick girls. Seems like it wasn't the case.
