Bionic is a masterpiece that didn't deserve to flop. It's 10x better than all of fad's albums combined. Xtinct honestly gave birth to stan culture with that album

You're KIDDING! It sounds exactly like a Kevin song with those synths. Not to mention it's a Kevin Parker song not a Tame Impala song so there's no reason to expect a full psychadelic production.

Right, but it's his project. He's not going to bring what he does for his psych rock band to a pop song. He obviously wants to keep the worlds separate by using his name instead of Tame Impala when associating with it, for example.
Bionic is not bad by any means. Lotus actually is worse. I would love to have a new album by 2017 and see where she goes.
Both are pretty bad, but I found Bionic to be the biggest disappointment. For an album with an electropop sound (sans the ballads), it managed to sound incredibly dated, and boring at times (blame the order of the tracks if you will). Just bad.
Lotus has some of the most tragic production & mastering of any album ever released but it's nice to hear Legend X actually having fun in music, Bionic was really... miserable.
