Yeah ClashAndBurn, this must be the reason, I mean, I think songs like Born This Way and TEOG were great but the downfall really began with the messy Artpop, I think by the end of this decade, Gaga will be a distant memory of a big female artist of the late 00s and early 10s, just like Cyndi Lauper was in the beginning of the 90s, really a shame Gaga wasted her potential.

It's mostly the last day, but it's some somewhat complicated formula that also includes sales from last week, last month, last year, just weighted differently.

The thing is once its fall to #5 the rest of the songs are very close % wise, so another -5% drop would take it right out of the top 10 and losing that top 10 exposure will make things worse

The downfall had already begun in the Born This Way era since most of the album's sales were from initial weeks and it died down wayyy quicker than her previous albums (although it was a good album imo). But ARTPOP was a chance for resurrection, and she fcuked that up severely. Now, she comes back after 3 years of an underperforming era, and releases a tragic single to destroy the minimal hype/momentum that was still there too. No surprise she's flopping this hard.

Was listening to Poker Face and wondering how someone can go from this masterpiece to the mess that is Perfect Illusion.

I can't believe she's going to end up leaving a smaller trace in pop music history than Justin Bieber. And all that because of terrible choices.
