With the state of the UK charts at the moment, I really wouldn't mind her not doing as well if that means she's not subscribing to some of the formulaic hell that is broadcast over the radio over here.
Pop artists like Zara, Dua, Ariana, Gaga all seem to struggle with sales when they have fantastic, melodic, well thought out and all round great singles out, meanwhile the latest garage remix, tropical house mush or Britain's Got Talent finalist warbling a cover of an originally fantastic Robyn song reaches top 10 instantly. And it's not like I'm not supportive of new artists (hell, I've named two in the paragraph alone) nor do I denounce the new charting system. It's just sad at the moment that artists that work hard are, in my opinion, not being recognised.
