Lady Gaga had the SAME radio deal for the same amount of time and the same placements on prominent Apple Music and Spotify playlists (+ iTunes banner which Brit did not have). Britney's single featured a hot rapper, Gaga's features the person who produced the biggest single of 2015.

To probably clear her image but it doesn't mean she'll do good in charts. Again, it still depends in the song. Do you think releasing a song like PI that is not following current trend and not radio friendly will do well?

She was trying to repair her image. I think she still has some ways to go, but that doesn't mean people will suddenly jump at the chance to buy a song that doesn't appeal to them.
I honesty don't know how is this happening. She had it all: the Oscars, the Golden Globes, SuperBowl, AHS, the Grammys, Woman of the Year, acclaim, the GP loved her once again. This is honestly so surprising.
