Promo kicks in again on Monday in the US, and she still hasn't released the video. Like it's obviously not going to be a Poker Face situation where it's a #1 hit in all big markets, but it's not like it's not charting at all

Have you heard the instrumental? PI is a straight up 80s synthpop song. Two chords of a computerized guitar sound at the beginning doesn't change that.

Honestly, I'm more convinced with gaga doing pop rock vs a Pink who i stan for but has played it safe.

I think gaga's voice suits rock ish songs.

I think she just needs to come up with a stronger rock song.

this gives me classic pat benatar which isn't a bad thing but I want to here some rock sounds that sound fresh.


The tropical dance laid back thing has gone on for a couple of years and i think it's time to shake things up and have some edge with rock sounds.

Take the mellow laid back and spice it up with something exciting.

I HOPE other songs on the album reflect this.

It's been too mellow and gaga's theatrics suit the shift to more edge and excitement perfectly

PI is a good intro and hopefully isn't the best song on the record

It's been proven that people get a "high" listening to pop music because you can predict what is coming next in the song. When you're right, your body produces more dopamine.

Perfect Illusion defies a lot of typical pop tropes. It builds on that first "chorus" and then goes back to the next verse. The key change comes out of nowhere on first listen. You expect the adlibs to be at a lower tone than the bridge vocals. Not to mention her belting, high energy thrown in the whole time as opposed to the easy listening we come to expect.

Once you start to understand the structure of the song itself and can follow along in your head, you start to really embrace the pop elements that remain.

I'm gonna take a break from the Internet and this site I think (some posts are really pure hatred directed at Gaga, I don't know why but it somewhat gets to me). I somewhat hate myself for taking things so seriously with Gaga and spreading some sort of negativity sometimes but I just wanted her to come back with a song that would make her haters shut their mouths. Anyways I'll let those who love the song enjoy it as much as they should with this thread and bottom line this is all what it should be about: enjoying what an artist has to give to you. I fell in love with Gaga when she was massive on all kinds of media and music support and to be honest I enjoyed sharing my thoughts on her with all the people who were mesmerized by what she had to offer. 2016 is a different era with a different side of her now. I suppose that me and the others fans of what we still call the "Fame" Gaga should get used to it and move on. I honestly wish she is happy with her current work and for all of you to enjoy what she will offer with LG5, farewell ATRL Monsters, it was great posting, browsing this site!

I seriously think every gaga material should be primaries tested by those beta testers and then released. She definitely has lost her touch. She just needs one good song to bring her on track...
