Well it sold 282k in its first 8,5 days so yeah it would have for sure.
Work was the only pop girl big release not to have the a banner for the whole week, but just one day (Bey didn't too, she had it for her album)

I mean sometimes it makes sense, for example Sia released on Wednesday (?) with the banner and she's going to have banner + Hot Tracks until next Friday. So 10 days.

Nah. The single's just going to keep dropping like a rock. At this point, they should just pull it from radio adds and forget that it even exists. Leave it off the album even, like Ariana did with "Focus."
Don't know why you care so much about debut weeks' numbers, I'd rather watch a song climb slowly but surely and become a big hit because a lot of songs you're mentioning are struggling to hit one million in sales.
Most artists don't plummet like this right out of the gate, IVY. She's not like Bruno either. Either the song takes off instantly or it doesn't at all. That's just how it's been for Lady Gaga the past 5 years of her career.
