True. I've had Gaga fans messaging me saying they don't like it. Then hours later they're like OK I changed my mind 💀 I think it helps for people to understand the motives and direction she's heading. Although it's typical dance Gaga, the sound of the track differs from her previous work.
Having said that and I will keep referring back to it - Just Dance was "a flop" for months because it was different than what was charting at the time. She campaigned HARD and it took off. Fast-forward a few years and she's suddenly regarded as one of the artists who helped push EDM into mainstream again.
Gaga is not the first and she won't be last. She's one of. Much like many legends that are acknowledged today, from decades ago. That's her legacy, to me, and she'll be known as such in decades from now.
