I agree but they have the similar feel (to me at least), like they are anthemic and have this huge scope but on the other hand they are just kinda too weird and not really accessible

Gaga is lucky her name can still generate some sort of buzz online so PI is getting exposure, if she has a better second single maybe not everything is lost but at this point I doubt it, serving another song on DWUW level seems impossible

Perect Illusion is her best since Born This Way. It's the natural sound progression of that album.

This makes Gaga the only pop girl brave enough to mature her sound in recent times (along with Beyonce and Rihanna).

ARTPOP sounded empty and hollow next to Born This Way because she was trying to please the internet pop stans with EDM beats and songs about sex. I'm glad she's back to being a genuine artist.

The fact that she went #1 in 60 countries with a rock song and promo that consisted of releasing a single cover and doing a couple of radio interviews is very impressive.

Judging by her collaborators, I would say Perfect Illusion is the most "mainstream hit" sounding song on the album. I doubt this album is filled with "smashes". It's probably more about cohesion and making a great ****ing record, regardless of sales.

Perfect Delusion was a good choice for lead single. It's been out one day and y'all are already having meltdowns because it's getting red updates despite no US promo. It's #1 on her name alone competing against a big seller, it just needs to be more stable

It just makes me mad that she intentionally sabotages herself. Like she doesn't have to record a Rise-level bullcrap to smash. She could at least TRY to do something different without alienating a music-buying audience with unnecessary screams.

We are not mad that PI is flopping. We've already got used to it. It's just annoying that PI instead of 9/10 could've been ∞/10 if she wasn't so stubborn and let the instrumental shine a bit more and reduce that scream level
