The song is obnoxious and annoying and the lyrics suck, that's why me (and a lot of other people) aren't feeling it, just stop. It's nice that you love it but others feel differently.
I believe it's mainly because this isn't the Gaga people are used to. She's trying to transition into a more critically acclaimed, jazz and theater artist that appeals to a 30+ crowd, versus what she used to be, which in hindsight, actually wasn't that bad. This song wasn't completely horrible, just not something I want to hear Gaga sing. Lol.
Ok, but with all seriousness people have their own opinions and most of us were expecting something a little bit better. I can't speak for the girls that are coming for her commercial performance I mean she's at #1 and she's doing good so far, but anyway every pop girl receives criticism not everyone is going to love it, get used to it.
She had an unbelievably messy era with ARTPOP both musically and promotionally, made us suffer through a jazz album and an activism single, put her solo career on hold for three years that was hyped as her actual comeback only for it to be what we got. PI isn't a bad song but it is NOT what she needed given the circumstances.
Ya'll cry and complain so much, every popstar gets dragged here but you're the only fanbase who gets so sensitive about it, it's not that serious, if you like the song just enjoy it and ignore the rest

The song is bad but that's fine. Cut your losses and be excited for the fact that there are at least 10 more new Gaga songs coming your way. Statistically speaking they CAN'T be worse than PI.
a promotional single for a network television event that still managed to go #1 on HDS and only had iTunes banners for one day, one performance that only aired on C-Span and YouTube, no spotify release or radio release until the following week and spent 5 days at #1 on iTunes while your fave is already getting dark red updates and is about to end its run in just about a few seconds omg you're totally right it is a flop
