Releasing a single and its video then promoting it before releasing the album is also a gimmick. It's just a widely accepted and used gimmick. In fact, the most ungimmicky music release of our generation was Beyonce releasing straight to iTunes without any fanfare in 2013 (when she helped end Gaga).
It's time to accept that Gaga really is an awful artist, and even worse musician (since she can't make a decent song at the least).
I hate when artists make albums that long. 12-15 tracks is ideal.
